About Rebecca

I founded 'Love That Improv VO' in July 2013 because I personally wanted this kind of service and no one was offering it online.

I have been a professional actress since 2001. I have solid acting experience and training - both of which include improv.

For me, VO Improv is many things - sparking that creativity and getting those neurons and synapses to fire in my brain differently, embracing the risk, getting thrilled by the wild abandon and scaling to new heights... sometimes that includes overcoming barriers... and putting it all back into the beautiful work we can create with our voice!

Why take this workshop?

Voice actors working in video games, audio books and animation know having a variety of character voices can help you get more jobs or book a job over a lesser able talent. You can pull up a character and merge it with the client ideas to create a voice they'll love and you've got confidence in. Pro VO talents do this all the time. And, developing a character roster of your own before those critical opportunities is smart.

In this workshop we’ll guide you further down the road to having a character voice roster. During the workshop Katie will guide you to explore the inner workings of characters through improv.  You’ll flex your muscles in fun ways, learning how you can ImproVO with old characters and make new ones.  You'll practice while receiving supportive feedback…

...Improvisation can be easier & more fun than other complicated character vo techniques

...Improvise to create your own character voice "cast"

...Improv like this when you auditions or scripts

After completing the workshop, consider joining weekly improv workouts in January, to support you using improvisation in VO work.  Click here to learn more about weekly workouts.

Note – This workshop is not about breaking down a script.  This workshop is for VO talent who work part-time or full-time in voiceover and want to get more competitive by using improv with their VO skills. This workshop is NOT for folks trying to figure out how to start a career in voiceover, and it is NOT for people brand new to voiceover work.
